Thought I would just put something on here for you to laugh at on this Halloween friday. Have a good one

Well, I posted this a while ago and it was there then it wasnt. I know I am tired but typing and then having it disapppear. Oh, well I guess it's Halloween and anything can happen today. I hope it goes better today than yesterday. It is going to be in the 60's today and tonight the mid 50's great weather for the kids trick or treating. Grandson is going to the area of his mom's boyfriend mother's area so it is safer so he will be having fun. And most of all I don't have to walk him around. Did all that last weekend. Hope Halloween is good for you all talk to you tonight.

Sad very Sad indeed

BEING A MOTHER....

After 17 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to
take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She
said, 'I love you, but I know this other woman loves
you and would love to spend some time with you.'

The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit
was my MOTHER, who has been alone for 20 years,
but the demands of my work and my two boys had
made it possible to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for
dinner and a movie.
* * *
'What's wrong, aren't you well,' she asked?
* * *
My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a
late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign
of bad news.
* * *
'I thought it would be pleasant to spend some
time with you,' I responded. 'Just the two of us.'
She thought about it for a moment, and then said,
'I would like that very much.'
* * *
That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick
her up I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her
house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous
about our date. She waited in the door. She had curled her hair and was wearing the
dress that she had worn to celebrate her last
birthday on November 19th.

She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an
angel's. 'I told my friends that I was going to go
out with my son, and they were impressed,' she said,
as she got into that new white van. 'They can't wait to hear about our date'.

We went to a restaurant that, although not
elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother took my
arm as if she were the First Lady.. After we sat
down, I had to read the menu. Her eyes could only
read large print. Half way through the entries, I
lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at
me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips. 'It was I
who used to have to read the menu when you were
small,' she said. 'Then it's time that you relax and
let me return the favor,' I responded..

During the dinner, we had an agreeable
conversation- -nothing extraordinary but catching up
on recent events of each other's life. We talked so
much that we missed the movie.

As we arrived at her house later, she said,
'I'll go out with you again, but only if you let me
invite you.' I agreed.
* * *
'How was your dinner date ?'
asked my wife when I got home.
'Very nice. Much more so than I could have imagined,'
I answered.

A few days later, my mother died of a massive
heart attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn't
have a chance to do anything for her.
* * *
Some time later, I received an envelope with a
copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place
mother and I had dined. An attached note said: 'I
paid this bill in advance. I wasn't sure that I
could be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two
plates - one for you and the other for your wife.
You will never know what that night meant for me.
I love you, son.'

At that moment, I understood the importance of
saying in time: 'I LOVE YOU' and to give our loved
ones the time that they deserve. Nothing in life is
more important than your family. Give them the time
they deserve, because these things cannot be put off
till 'some other time.'

Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back
to normal after you've had a baby..... somebody
doesn't know that once you're a mother,
'normal' is history.

Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by
instinct ... somebody never took a three-year-old shopping.
* * *
Somebody said being a mother is boring ....
somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver's permit.
Somebody said if you're a'good' mother,
your child will 'turn out good'....
somebody thinks a child comes with
directions and a guarantee.

Somebody said you don't need an education to be a
mother.... somebody never helped a fourth grader
with his maths.
* * *
Somebody said you can't love the second child as
much as you love the first .... somebody doesn't
have two children.

Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother
is labor and delivery....
somebody never watched her 'baby' get on the bus
for the first day of kindergarten ...
or on a plane headed for military 'boot camp.'

Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her
child gets married....somebody doesn't know that
marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law to a
mother's heartstrings.

Somebody said a mother's job is done when
her last child leaves home....

somebody never had grandchildren.

Somebody said your mother knows you love her, so
you don't need to tell her....
somebody isn't a mother.

Pass this along to all the 'mothers' in your life
and to everyone who ever had a mother. This isn't
just about being a mother; it's about appreciating
the people in your life while you have them....no
matter who that person is.

Our park here has a small zoo and they just refurbished it this past summer. So this year they had what they called Boo at the zoo. The kids all came with masks and any costumes they wanted. they had games and little prizes and candy. And the they had the enchanted train and as it went around the trail they had groups act out different Nursery stories. The college and high school volunteered for this. All money raised will be used to take care of the animals and things at the zoo. Must the kids enjoyed it and the volunteers did too. Must say it was cold and windy but was worth it

This is Spookers she is 22 years old this coming weekend. She was are Halloween kitty. Anyway I wasn't on line much this weekend so am trying to catch up with you all. My Son has moved down which is good and bad LOL. He took up a lot of time with the computer. Don't know were he gets that from. Friday night took Bailey to the Boo at the zoo. Will blog more on that with pics. It wasnt bad but froze my backside off but he had a good time. And must say I was impressed with what they did for the kids. Friday Bailey walked all over town with his Uncle he was really thrilled to spend time with him. Saturday Bailey and Scott took BA for a walk all over town. You know the big bad pit. BA was so happy and exicted and tired when they got back. I made Chili soup and for the chili so added Cajun spice so I had Cajun soup LOL. Anyway Sunday was my daughter's boyfriends birthday so we went over there for a cookout of sorts as it was really windy and cold. But the ribs were good. I didnt get on line until around 11. Must say missed it.But it was a good weekend .Didnt think any unhappy thoughts all weekend. Now have to get back to the reall world lol. Anyway will do some posting wiht pics and check all your posts.

I was noticing today, well actually everyday that I have walked to work or home. That I press the crossing sign button so that when the light turns green the pedestrian signal will flash and let me cross to. Well, it does come on but it stays on just until you get into the middle of the road and the it goes but to flashing stop. Now I know that normal people will realize that this telling people not to start to cross now. But and I know that there is always some dumbass in a car that things that means runn over the pedrestian in the walk. Just thought it was funny that I have yet to make it across the street on the green pedestrian light.

Well, my place of employment has hit a new low. Most of the crap isnt worth mentioning except to say the place is run my imbeciles. Any road. The new low is. No more 10 minute breaks ( one in the morning then lunch and then one in afternoon) and to go to the bathroom or to take a 2min smoke break you must have the pass first. If it is missing to made. Picture below of pass. Not without saying I took a few extras today. Lord we're back in school and didnt have this much bull. They'd take away lunch but they dont pay for that so guess it will safe for a while. Well, maybe

I have almost talked myself in staying home today. Don't want to bore you with details of the so called business I work for. But, lets just say they have hit a new low for incompetence. It is really cold this morning but will be in the 60's It is suppose to rain this weekend of course Halloween is coming and it is always either cold or raining. I really need to stay home today and do one important thing and again I need to go to work. Oh well, I dont want to work saturday so I guess I will show up. Anyway. I came home last night and even though there was food prepared I just wasnt hungry. I think I need a road trip to just get away for a while i doubt if that is going to happen but you know it does sound nice. Well, I hope you all have a good day

Well, it is monday and the weekend went by to fast. I always have big plans to get this or that done some how it doesnt get done. Had my grandson with from friday night until sunday evening Believe me he is all boy. I did get some dinners finished so I don't have to cook alot this week. I made roasted chicken and liver and onions and potatoe soup. So that is for the week. I just wasn't hungry last night. Just had a cup of hot chocolate and peanut butter toast. Anyway here's hoping this week goes smoothly would be just nice for once. Did get the veneation blinds up to the two front room windows. Does make a difference to the look of the room. Anyway looks like a cold front is coming so hopefully they are wrong about that. Hope you all have a great day. I am off for my daily trek to the salt mill.

Well, this is the right song as for as the rain goes. It has just started and looks like I will be walking tonight in it. Won't bore you with the down turn of life at the teepee but anyway will but on the brave front. And dance through the day so people wont realize there is trouble with BA again. Two more days and am off for the weekend. And I am ready. So have a good and enjoy the dancing and rain

I was thinking this morning how we wish our lives away. It is tuesday and I am counting down the days until saturday. When I think I should be enjoying this day. Yes, I do have to go to work. And I am working with a lot of irating little young people that dont respect anything. But, I am able to walk to work. And enjoy the fresh air and watch the birds go about thier daily routine. And I could be so sick that I couldnt work at all. I think that this day is going to be a great day. And we might get to come home an hour early. And hey I only have to get one sell to make my own quota of three a day. As I got 5 yesterday. And getting home an hour early let me enjoy the nice day. So here is to a niced day.

It is friday and I must say this week hasn't been half bad. Sales at work was better than ever for some reason. Could be I stopped caring weather I got them or not. Running late didnt want to get up this morning but it is hump day which I actually thought was yesterday. The next you know it will be monday. Looks like it rained all night. But it has cleared up so I can walk to work. I walked home in the rain yesterday. I intended to take a bus but got out there and just kept walking. Oh well another day another penny. A first-grade teacher, Ms. Brooks, was having trouble with one of her students. The teacher asked, 'Harry, what's your problem?'

Harry answered, 'I'm too smart for t he 1st grade. My sister is in the 3rd grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the 3rd grade too!'

Ms. Brooks had had enough. She took Harry to the principal's office.

While Harry waited in the outer office, the teacher explained to the principal wha t the situation was. The principal told Ms. Brooks he would give the boy a test. If he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the 1st grade and behave. She agreed.

Harry was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he agreed to take the test.

Principal: 'What is 3 x 3?'

Harry: '9.'

Principal: 'What is 6 x 6?'
Harry: '36.'

And so it went with every question the principal thought a 3rd grader should know.

The principal looks a t Ms. Brooks and tells her, 'I think Harry can go to the 3rd grade.'

Ms. Brooks says to the principal, 'Let me ask him some questions.'

The principal and Harry both agreed.

Ms. Brooks asks, 'What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?'

Harry, after a moment: 'Legs.'

Ms Brooks: 'What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?'

The principal wondered why would she ask such a question!

Harry replied: 'Pockets.'

Ms. Brooks: 'What does a dog do that a man steps into?'

Harry: 'Pants.'

Ms. Brooks: What starts with a C, ends with a T, is hairy, ova l, delicious and contains thin, whitish liquid?'

Harry: 'Coconut.'

The principal sat fo rward with his mouth hanging open.

Ms. Brooks: 'What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?'
The principal's eyes opened really wide and before he could stop the answer, Harry replied, 'Bubble gum.'

Ms. Brooks: 'What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three legs?'

Harry: 'Shake hands.'

The principal was trembling.
Ms. Brooks: 'What word starts with an 'F' and ends in 'K' that means a lot of heat and excitement?'

Harry: 'Firetruck.'

The principal breathed a sigh of relief and told the teacher, 'Put Harry in the f ifth-grade, I got the last seven questions wrong......'

Well, it is here again Monday 4 more days until the weekend. How we wish our life away. Well, it is still dark usually it is light out what can come of just a few days. Weekend wasn't bad as I got home and didnt leave the house the whole weekend. people behind me moved in yesterday. keep me awake last night as thier front door is by my bedroom. But, will cut them some slack as they were moving in and that does take time. Hope to have some good news from son today. Things are calm for a while at least. Am going to finish getting ready for work. And do my daily walk. don't mind the morning it is usually the evening I don't care for as much. But, will do it because I hate to spend a dollar on a 6 block bus ride. Will see how it goes today. Will talk to ya all tonight

"GOOD MORNING" Proof it!!!! Just sayin------

Must admit I had forgotten how much music made my life so much happier when I am working around. Put on the Oldies music channel on the telly so loud they can probley hear down the street. And worked away with the sun shining in and the fresh air. Must say the place looks good and I am on a nice upper feeling today. So here is one for all of you

Well, it is going on 11am so not really morning anymore. But, the sun is shining and even though it is a little chilly am looking forward to a nice day. Spent an hour on the phone with the ex. Don't know how I do it he is so negative on life it usually brings me down. But, hey better him than me. Like I told him there are drawbacks to everywhere you live you just have to make sure there are more postive things to make it worth living there and thats what I find here. Anyway is sister is coming today to give me somethings that when she moved into her new place that I can use so that is great for me. And tomorrow I will have another large recliner brought to me. So I am giving the one I got last week to a lady that doesnt have anything. You know share the wealth. I alwaysay give and do good to others and it comes back to you. Somestime it doesnt feel like it but really it is true. Spooker is full and happy BA is still visiting with Jodi so takes a little bit off me. But, do miss the little but head. New Neighbor is moving in today so we shall see if it is going to be good neighbor or bad nieghbor. You never know on that. Anyway am going to do a little cleaning and get all the weeks newspapers out. So have a great day today you all.

Now I have always thought my sister and brother's obession with playing games on pogo.com was a little to much. But, Lois sent me a trial membership and as we were talking an that is something new. I reminest on how I loved playing canasta. Oh she says they have that on pogo.com.
Not without saying I got on line and started playing against the computer robot. Since, I didnt remember the ins and outs of it. Well, I am now playing against people. And yes I am hooked. I love playing and playing people. So I guess I just got hooked. So here's a clink with my glass of Capt'n and what you are drinking and lets go have a hand

Thursday and back to work I go. Got the bug everyone seems to passing around. If I had a little more dollars I would just take the rest of the week off. Like that will happen. Oh well, so goes the world. It is a little chilly this morning so it will make walk a little better. Grandson's a little upset. I was going to pick him up at daycare after work friday so he could spend the weekend. And now he has to wait until saturday evening. Will have to plan something special for him.
