Today is ending up better than expected. I went to the clinic and my meds are straighten out more or less. In fact, I got one that I havent had in a year. But, hold on to your hats. One of the call centers in Terre Haute is opening a branch here is lafayatte and it is inbound. It was on Indianpolis news tonight of course not Lafayettes news. But, I call my friend in terre haute who works at the other call center there. Got the other call centers number and found that travis or old cite manager is still at the other center so I am calling him to find out how I can get on there as one of the first. Keep the prayers, smoke and anything else going up. This will be my saving grace if I can get on there.I am so excited. I want to beworking somewhere that isnt like where I am at now. Anyway that is how the day is going now . So that means there are two call centers in bound opening in this town. Tele a service better watch out thier on thier way out. Karma baby Karma.

A writer first made the connection between the poppy and battlefield deaths during the Napoleonic wars of the early 19th century, remarking that fields that were barren before battle exploded with the blood-red flowers after the fighting ended.

During the tremendous bombardments of the First World War the chalk soils became rich in lime from rubble, allowing 'popaver rhoeas' to thrive. When the war ended the lime was quickly absorbed, and the poppy began to disappear again.

After John McCrae's poem In Flanders Fields was published in 1915,
the poppy became a popular symbol for soldiers who died in battle.

Flanders Field American Cemetery and Memorial is a World War I cemetery on the southeast edge of the town of Waregem, Belgium. This is the only American World War I cemetery in Belgium and 411 American servicemen are buried or commemorated there.
The cemetery is in the area known as Flanders Fields, where fierce fighting took place throughout the war. Canadian war poet, Lt-Col John McCrae, wrote the poem In Flanders Fields on May 3, 1915, after witnessing the death of his friend, Lieutenant Alexis Helmer, the day before.

Three years later an American, Moina Michael, was working in a New York City YMCA canteen when she started wearing a poppy in memory of the millions who died on the battlefield. This practice "caught on" with Veterans

in New York City,and spread.!

Am getting ready to watch"Brother Where art Thou" again. Son loves this show. So thought you would like to hear one of the main songs in the show.

It is a gorgeous day today so far of course it is only 9am. IT is 70 degrees at the moment but it is suppose to get into the 8os with 30% chance of thunderstorms. But it wouldnt be Race day without it. But, I doubt if we get anything until Wednesday. Anyway the weekend hasnt been bad so far which I am glad. When I was at Wally world ran into a girl from work. And it looks like I am going to have to fight for my job when I go back Tuesday. Something else to worry about. Oh well guess I will just have to put it on the back burner. Anyway have a great day

It was a great Art fair.There was so much talent and creativeity I have a lot of pictures but have to wait until Monday to get them off my cell phone. Lafayette is home to the Arts that is for sure.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The ‘Round the Fountain Art Fair, now in its 36th year, has brought high quality fine art to the Greater Lafayette community every year since 1973. The juried fair of 89 artists represents a number of media categories like watercolor, oil/acrylic, ceramic, sculpture, mixed media, wood and more.

The 36th Annual Round the Fountain Art Fair will be held Saturday, May 23rd in Downtown Lafayette.
This year’s ‘Round the Fountain Art Fair is slated for Saturday, May 23rd (rain or shine), from 9:00a until 4:30p in Downtown Lafayette.

Local, regional and national artists participate in what is considered by many to be one of the finest art fair in the Midwest.

Proceeds have supported Tippecanoe County Courthouse restoration projects in the past, and currently support the visual arts programs in the five local high schools (Jefferson, Harrison, McCutcheon, West Lafayette, and Central Catholic.)

The RTFAF Committee also has a permanent collection, purchased from participating artists, of 2 dimensional art that is exhibited in the Tippecanoe County Courthouse for the enjoyment of the community.

What a great Saturday mornin. It is 68 already and it is not to hot. Friend just called and am getting ready to go to the Art around the Fountain which is on the Court House grounds and it is really nice around there. Might even try to get some pictures of the pedristian bridge going from lafayette to West Lafayette yes there is a difference or so they like you to belived. Because Purdue University is in West Lafayette. Missed the Art last two years but am not going to do it this year. Maybe will do some looking at the antique stores too. Boy it has been hot today. Sun came in and out all day. Went up town after I got my ckeck and dropped off some papers and then had lunch at my favorite coffee shope. It was really nice out. Tomorrow they are having Art Around the Fountian and Courthouse tomorrow so am going in the morning before it gets to hot. There will be a lot of artists there. Missed it last year as I was in terre haute. Am looking forward to it and maybe making contact with some nice kindred spirits. I really enjoyed the day off today. Am going to have to go get another fan as it is really hot in here today. But at least the sun came out and made a beautiful day. Am looking forward to tomorrow

As you can tell no I didn't go to work. I figured the 2 1/2 hours would hurt me more than going in. Becuase if I didnt get no sells that would take my SPH down and that is another write up they are starting to do. And anyway I went back to bed and slept until 9:30am It is 83 degrees out and there is no sun Have chance of rain tomorrow and definately rain on sunday and monday. Anyway we do need it. I am going to get another fan as will have to put a air conditioner in layaway. Oh well so it goes. Have a few projects I want to do this long weekend for pure enjoyment. It is the end of a long week and longer day. Work is getting worse and worse. They are looking for anyway to fire you even making up new rules. I could go back tuesday I could get it that is how bad it is. Well, I can pick up my check at 12:30 so I can either go in and work 2 1/2 hours or just go in at 12 and pick up my check and leave. What will I do it all depends on when I wake up and how I feel in the morning. But tomorrow and the next three days are my days to do with what I want so we shall see what we get done anyway have a great friday all

I have been really tired this week. But, it is finally here. My last day of work for four whole days. I am so ready for that. I will have to go pick up my check but that is in and out. Anyway it has been really warm here it is 81 degrees but rain is coming on monday they say. I know the 500 race will be monday. But, I dont really watch that. I use to go to the time trials because that is when the speed is really hit as they are all trying to earn the pole position. Anyway have some plans but again am hangin loose as it is my time. Isnt it great the sun is out and the days are longer I do so enjoy this. Anyway guess I will get ready who knows how long we will work today. Good Mornin all!!! Yes, it is one more day closer to the long weekend and I am ready for it. We worked 3 1/2 hours yesterday. Dont ask. It is another of thier stupid palor tricks they are trying to pull. Here is a good one if someone got a sale they got a 5 minute break. The trick you say. You had to log off the computer and werent paid for that Wow now that is a prize wasnt it. Anyway the sun was out and it was nice out yesterday. IT is going to be in the 80's until Monday when some rain comes in. I am really excited about 4 days off. It has been a while and I intend to enjoy it. Well I should get ready for work. If nothing else I do enjoy the walk to work. I walk with the music of the birds ringing over head. Hugs to all and may it continue to be a great day

Monday is almost over for me and has been over for you. Three more days and a 4 day weekend is upon me. I am so ready for it. Today is going going gong and the rest is history

Another Monday and another week. It was rather chilly last night but should warm up today. Had a houseful last night. Am definately not use to that. Definately, will be a good week as just realized next monday is Memorial day and I put in to be off this friday so I will have a 4 day weekend. Yea I am ready for it. Went to sleep at 3:30am and no I didn't sleep in. Got up at 8:30 I dont know why I hardly ever sleep in. And if I do it is usuaully no later than 9 or 9:30. Sun is out and looks like there wont be any rain for the coming week. Did get a good laugh this morning. Scott was laying on the couch he stretched out and his socked foot was touching the birdcage and both birds bit his toe waking him up. Then when he pulled his foot away they sat there yelling at him Anyway I am going to fix some bacon and finish my coffee. Think I will have to take a nap later. Hugs

It is 3:20am can you believe I am up. Must be losing my mind. No I did go to bed at midnight. But as usual with this family drama comes a knockin. I swear they didnt take it after me. Anyay I am getting ready to try and go back to sleep and Scott and Bailey can stay up or go to sleep but I am out. I am sure the drama will continue tomorrow and onward. *Deep Breath* finally friday it has been a real long week at work. It does not get any better. Looks like it will be raining and stroming this afternoon. As long as it doesnt do it until I get to work. I walked yesterday it was really nice. Sun isnt out today but am still going to walk. Dont have bus fair until this afternoon. It is suppose to rain all weekend but I dont care I dont have to go any where to much. I intend to do some things on my list. And again maybe not who knows am just going to wing it. I was just watching the Early. Show which is a news show. And they were talking about angels that come in and out of your life with out bidding and without asking for anything in return. Sometimes you dont even realize that is what they are. And alot of them go through your life without being acknowledge even they really dont ask or want expect acknowledgement for what and who they are. So what I am trying to get to we all have these people in our lives now or in the past and will most likely have them in our lives in the future. Maybe we should at least acknowledge that we are blessed with these people and know how blessed we are. Anyway even though I am rambling a bit. I want to send love and thanks and appreciation for all the angels that have come through my life. And the ones that are still in my life. With these angels I think I would probabley be more jaded in my view of life and people than I am. They proabley dont even know the impact they have had on my life and spirit. But I am Sending out A Big Thank You and Hugs to all thoses people.

Well we are on the down side of the week and I have made it so far. I was going to post last night but all I could do was read and comment I was so tired for some reason. It is getting worse at work. And I am not going to dwell on it because I dont want to think about. Looks like we are in for rain and stroms and wind today. Dont know how long we will be at work. Day should go pretty fast. Talked to my cousin this morning she lives outside of Atlanta Georgia. Sun is out even though they say rain is coming in tomorrow maybe. Introducing new pet in family this is Scott's pup Damin we call himm Dae Dae much to Scotts aggravation. Yesterday went okay. Went downtown to drop paper work off at Medicad office even though it wont help. But, they are going to work for thier money. They wanted me to withdraw my request. Bugger to them they are going to have to work for thier money. Everyon is happy this morning. Jolyn and Scott made me laugh this morning. We have a lot of ambulance go past the house as the hosptial is close by and one went by they were trying to mimic the sound. It was funny. WEll I need to get dressed it is nearly nine and I have to walk. I do love my morning walks. Will see ya all to night

Sunday is on its way out 10pm Did a little here and there and enjoyed the day. Scott is here and is suppose to stay with jodi. but that wont happen until tomorrow I guess. His pup another pitbull is six months old but he is a big boy. His name is Damian. Will put a picture on here sooner or later. Scott might go back to terre haute or crawfordsville who knows. Had some good news. The blood tests I took thursday came back. Everything is normal so that is good. Now as long as I keep taking my few meds that I take I will be all right. One meds I cant get as it is way to much like 200 a month but maybe later. So as long as I keep my BP down I will be okay So good news abound this weekend. I post later some really good buys I got at they yard with picks. Have a good morning

Went to the Farmers Market Saturday morning. It is the second picture. It was so windy everything was standing on end. Of course, it is really early for a lot of the veggies but there were a lot flowers. We walked through and looked at everything and I did buy some homemade applesause for my oatmeal. But, since it was so windy and really chilly we decided to go up to my favorite coffee shop. That is my favorite coffee person. Love the music they always have playing and just the atmoshpere. I took some pictures of the court house across from the coffee house and walking down the square I will put this on one of my group blogs later once I get them off my cell phone. Then on the way to the pet store to get food for jolyn and scot we looked at some of the ceramic dogs that were made and decoratred by business and put around town for donations to the art federation. Sorry the dog was so small couldnt get the cell to work for some reason. Then we ended up going to a lot of yard sales. And there was a housing subdivison that was having multi sales so we walked all over that place and there was a lot of hills and many streets. Actually was glad it was windy didnt get to hot. Anyway had a great time. Got the birdy food and then went out for a sandwich ourselves. So we had a great time. Now am gearing up to go to work yuck. But only 5 more days until the weekend

Got good news today, yes it does happen. All the blood tests came back and everything is normal. What that means to me is I am not taking the new bp meds as they make me sick. I am just going to be sure I take what I always took everyday isnt of hit or miss. So that is on less worry. Just have to make sure I have the scripts and the money to buy every month. \

Second news, New names for the birdys. They are Scott and Jolynn I know kids names but Jodi pick them out. Actually when I said scott the little one perked right up. Anyway looks like Scott is moving back but staying with Jodi as I cant have another dog here at the moment. Had to put foot down. Looks like he is already there. He is bringing the pup here for me to see but it will be staying with jodi. Yes seems like animals are a big part of who I am.

Yes, it is friday and I am glad. I had my blood work done yesterday and got paper work for leaving work monday. And a paper saying that the new meds could make me sick and if it does I will have to leave work. Of course, walking from the lab to my work I lost the monday paper but had were I paid deductible so they used that. Left work after lunch yesterday as I wasnt feeling good. Then team leader said you cant do this every day. Yes, I can that is what the note says. Duh. Work is getting worse. I guess after I left one of the girls in my row failed her monitering didnt say closing. And they blamed the row for her not doing it. And everyone has to move. Now I have set in that row for 9 months. I say get a dam grip fools. Anyway I will go in and sit my seat as always as I wasnt there when this all went down. Anyway CB is there one more day. So the act continues. I have a feeling I will be leaving after lunch.
Sun is out but we could get rain and storms this afternoon. Who knows. Left my fleese jacket at work so that will be gone when I get there. They steal everything. Well, I am looking forward to this weekend. Son might be coming back BA will be happy. We are having a picnic saturday for Mothers day. And am suppose to go to farmers market too. I got a call from a friend asking me what I was doing? After saying I was on line and watching Tv she said she would call back and hung up. Few minutes later a knock on the door. And there she stood with TWO COCATIELS WITH EVERYTHING AND THEY WERE MINE ALL FOR 20 DOLLARS NOW how sweet is that. There the pics of my two new babys

Grandma is eighty-eight years old and still drives her own car. She writes:

Dear Grand-daughter,

The other day I went up to our local Christian book store and saw a
'Honk if you love Jesus' bumper sticker ..

I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had just come from a
thrilling choir performance, followed by a thunderous prayer meeting..

So, I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper.

Boy, am I glad I did; what an uplifting experience that followed.

I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection, just lost in
thought about the Lord and how good he is, and I didn't notice that the
light had changed.

It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus because if he hadn't
honked, I'd never have noticed.

I found that lots of people love Jesus!

While I was sitting there, the guy behind started honking like crazy,
and then he leaned out of his window and screamed, 'For the love of
God!'

'Go! Go! Go! Jesus Christ, GO!'

What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus!

Everyone started honking!

I just leaned out my window and started waving and smiling at all those
loving people.

I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love!

There must have been a man from Florida back there because I heard him
yelling something about a sunny beach.

I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger
stuck up in the air.

I asked my young teenage grandson in the back seat what that meant.

He said it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something.

Well, I have never met anyone from Hawaii , so I leaned out the window
and gave him the good luck sign right back.

My grandson burst out laughing.

Why even he was enjoying this religious experience!!

A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that
they got out of their cars and started walking towards me.

I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended, but this is
when I noticed the light had changed.

So, grinning, I waved at all my brothers and sisters, and drove on
through the intersection.

I noticed that I was the only car that got through the intersection
before the light changed again and felt kind of sad that I had to leave
them after all the love we had shared.

So I slowed the car down, leaned out the window and gave them all the
Hawaiian good luck sign one last time as I drove away. Praise the Lord
for such wonderful folks!!

Well, the week is on the down turn now. Citi Bank is here yesterday and the next two days. Which means everyone is suppose to be on thier best behavior. Not Anyway they sent everyone home at 3:30 which was a surprise. As we thought they would keep us to at least 4:30 to make it look good. Guess if there are no leads there are no leads. Anyway I left at 3 I was feeling funny from the new bp pill the doc gave me. But I am not having the fluttering and pain as I was having and I dont feel as tired. My bp is now 160/80 which is down from 224/80 but it is still high for the docs opinion. Anyway meds seem like it is helping. Maybe my brain wont be so much of mush. I just hate taking meds. I am going to look into more healthy eating. HEY have lost 25lbs so that made me happy. So walking is working. I am going to have blood work done this morning to check kidney and liver function because of meds I have been on last few years. Going to do it today before they realise I dont have insurance. Yes one more bill for them to add to the list they arent going to get. Anyway maybe medicade will kick in. Not t They arent adding people to that. Anyway feeling a little better havent took pills yet have to wait for blood test.Then coffee and toast. You all have a great day looks like rain here.

Everyone has been bringing a lot of songs and music from my past lately. Now I dont know if that makes me as old as dirt. Or my life as been lived through music for most of my life. But I did have a t-bird and did tell my dad I was going to the libray. We did we went in the front door and out the back and we did cruise. I love this song. I think may just see how many different types of songs there were for different stages of my life. Be prepared for some rather old songs. As I said I must be as old as dirt. Time seems to past faster all the time. Got a call tonight and looks like Saturday we are to have a Cook out at one of the parks this weekend for Mothers day. Hmmmmm sounds like a good idea. Guess I will be making the macaroni salad. Last year I dont think I was here I was in Terre Haute then again maybe I was. Time is a blear. Anyway am looking forward to the 4 day weekend on the last weekend or is it the next to last weekend of the month. But hey it is great which ever way it is. Got off work at 2pm but not before shit it the fan again. Shuffling the teams for now good reason than team leaders fighting among thierself. And the few of us that were willing to trade each to get were we wanted to stay. No go. And I hate who I have it is going to be worse than before if that is possible. Annyhow I went to the Doctor and blood pressure was down to 166/81 but he says that is still to high sooooo along with the one pill he has added another one. He is still giving my one NSAID and then the one asthma one I cant afford so it will sit at the druggist and the other one will be bought if I feel I really cant do with out it which he wanted me to keep on me for emergences. Then also my pain pills that help me sleep. But will in the next two days do a blood test to make sure the pills havent done any damage to liver and kidneys. Will do that wednesday before they realize I dont have insurance so that if there is something really wrong I will know before they refuse to do anything. Anyway at least that is done for the moment. It is getting cloudy but day is coming to a close anyway wont get rain until wednesday. Anyway so much for Monday now tuesday is on its way. Hugs

Looks like it is going to be a nice day today weather wise. Work is work and same old same old crap. There is the same issue from friday. Apolized didnt help with her. So it is her issue. Any road weekend was decent of course didnt get a thing done. But that's ok. Did get a good pic taken and posted so that was good. Watched a couple of my favorite movies. And of course Bailey's favorite. Well, will see the doctor today I guess so that is good. Maybe now I will get my prescriptions so as I get the money I will get them filled. 2 weekends in a row and were pretty good. No I didnt do any of the mundane things I was going to do but there is no sweat it isnt like it will go away. I did go to the meat market and get the meat I wanted to get. Then Bailey and I had a nice weekend night we watched the same movies we usually watch. I walked him home this afternoon. And posted a pic I took on the way so it was a nice walk. I watched some shows I had recorded to get them cleared off for next week. I watched A Tree Grows IN Brooklyn I do love that show. I watched Hell Fighter with John Wayne Friday night. Set with the door open today and enjoyed the fresh air. Must say it was a nice weekend even though I still didnt feel good. Glad that I was able to relax and not worry about anyything. Talked to a few friends and was happy to hear from them. So hope you all enjoyed your weekend

It is 10am and the sun is out but there are a few clouds in the sky. Anyway this is a another sunday will do a little but going try just enjoy this day because tomorrow is another work day. Last night we watched Sandlot 1, 2 and 3 again. But it is something I can tolerate and bailey does like it. This morning is cartoons. He is a sweetie and has been a little calmer this weekend. Missed the Farmers Market but didnt feel up to walking there or taking the bus then doing all that walking. Oh,well it will bet better. It is 10:30pm it hasnt been a bad day. Did get to the meat market and picked up a good size amount of meat. Brought Bailey back with me. So we have watched Sandlot 1,2 and 3. My My it is 10:30am and I am just starting to get moving. Havent had a cup of tea yet or read the news yet but will get to it. Ms sun is playing peek a boo today but as long as she shows her lovely shine once in a while I will be happy. Mostly am going to stay home today have some things I need to do and should do. But, sometime today am going to Brookston to buy somemore meat. They do have good sales. I am slowly getting a storage build up for the freezer. Anyway Daughter sent me a pic from her cell phone it did turn out pretty good

It is 12:15am Saturday morning. Friday night was a nice quiet night. I was really tired when I got home from work. Had been sick all day. Took a nap when I got home and helped alot. It is 8:12 am and hopefully she will be running late. For God's sake we dont start until 10 and she doesnt have to open the door until 9:15. I guess when you are a suck ass. Oh well, hopefully weather will get a little better and I will get my blood pressure under check and I can start walking to work again. I just took the ride for the bad weather. My sun isnt out and doesnt like it is going to make an appearance all weekend. But still it will a be weekend and I am ready for it. Well, I had bettter check on BA as he isnt happy I am leaving. It was a long day. Work was so slow nearly fell asleep. They are pulling more bull but this time it isnt going to hurt me at the moment anyway. Came home and bill collector was pounding on the door like i am going to answer. Not. Anyway have a doctors appoinment monday so maybe will get meds. Dont know how will pay him but wont have to worry until they run the insurance and find I dont have any. Well will worry about that later. Son just called and there is drama as usual dont want to think what this could mean. Anyway rain has stopped for now. Supposedly it will rain on and off tomorrow too. Who knows. Why is it there never seems to be an end to drama. Oh well that is life
